Effects of selenite methionine (SM) and sodium selenite (SS) pretreatments on high-temperature shock-induced cell apoptosis and necrosis (a), mRNA abundance of BAX and BCL2 (b), and the ratio of BAX and BCL2 (c) in MAC-T cells. MAC-T cells were pretreated with (+) or without (-) 10 μM SM or 1 μM SS for 2 h, followed by 42.5°C treatment for 1 h (heat treatment, HT) and recovery at 37°C for 12 h.
