Effect of ascorbate and Q7 on the production of H2O2 in vascular smooth muscle cells (A7r5). The data shows the H2O2 generation in the presence of ascorbate and Q7 in A7r5 cells (a) and the effect of increasing doses of ascorbate on H2O2 generation (b). Ascorbate increased significantly the generation of H2O2 in a dose-dependent manner in A7r5 cells, while Q7 did not cause any change. Values are mean ± standard error of the mean of 3 experiments.
