Copper Uptake in Mammary Epithelial Cells Activates Cyclins and Triggers Antioxidant Response

Western blot indicated that the expression levels of Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 2 (CDK2) was upregulated during Cu exposure in MCF10A cells. (a) CDK2 protein levels in cells treated with 50 μM CuSO4 and comparison with α-tubulin (representative Western blots from ). At each time point, 100 μg of proteins from the total cell lysates was loaded onto each lane for the detection of CDK2. α-tubulin was used as loading control, and the densitometry of each lane (represented as bars) was calculated using the Image J software.
