Alumina Template-Dependant Growth of Cobalt Nanowire Arrays

Top view SEM images of Co nw arrays after dissolution of oxalic acid alumina template (a, b) in part and (c) fully. Template fabrication: anodizing 3 hours; 5.0 V; 30 minutes in 0.5 M H3PO4. Following the detachment of alumina from the substrate and a back-side evaporation of a Cr/Au layer, the deposition of Co was conducted in the solution: 0.45 , 0.7 M , and TEA up to pH 5.7 at a constant DC current density of 0.12 mA for 5 hours.
