<i>Lactobacillus rhamnosus</i> Reduces Blood Glucose Level through Downregulation of Gluconeogenesis Gene Expression in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats

<div>Possible mechanism involved antidiabetic effect of <i>L. rhamnosus</i> BSL and <i>L. rhamnosus</i> R23 on a diabetic rat model induced by STZ. The alleviation of fasting blood glucose and downregulation of G6pc in diabetic rats was assumed to originate from LAB metabolytes absorbed into the blood and circulated throughout the body.</div>
