Neuroinflammation and Neurodegeneration: Pinpointing Pathological and Pharmacological Targets
Description
Neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative disorders affect millions of people worldwide, but the pathophysiological aspects of most of them remain poorly understood. Several molecules have been suggested as participants in the process of these diseases and might represent pharmacological targets.
We invite researchers to submit reviews and original articles that explore the most recent discoveries in the pathological mechanisms of neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases and potential upcoming therapies.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Role of the peripheral immune system in neurodegeneration
- Role of inflammatory mediators in neurodegeneration
- Potential targets that control neuroinflammation and degeneration
- Drugs that reveal neuroprotective and antineuroinflammatory properties
- From basic to clinical science in neuroimmunopharmacology
