Algal species as prey and chemical media used in the present study. Mean shell size and ash-free dry matter (AFDM) of three mussels used in each experiment are shown. chl-a indicates the initial concentration of chlorophyll-a in the experimental vessels. All experiments were completed in triplicate, and the mussels were stocked at 1 individuals·L-1.
