Curcumin Inhibits Proliferation of Epstein–Barr Virus-Associated Human Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Cells by Inhibiting EBV Nuclear Antigen 1 Expression

EBNA1 overexpression attenuates curcumin-induced cell killing and apoptosis-promoting effects in EBV-positive NPC cells. The HONE1 (a) and HK1-EBV (b) cells were transiently transfected with empty vector or pSG5-EBNA1 for 4 h followed by the treatment of curcumin (10 μM). Western blot analysis was performed to detect the protein expression levels. Cell viabilities of HONE1 (c) and HK1-EBV (d) cells were determined by the CCK-8.
