Mean escape latency values ± SEM of the 1st daily trials in the 2-platform + board experiment of 24 Lister Hooded and 35 Long Evans rats with alternating morning/evening sessions. LH rats had 9 pre-training days and 23 training days, whereas LE rats were tested for 28 training days. Symbols are as in Figure 1.
