Computational Intelligence and Metaheuristic Algorithms with Applications
Description
Computational intelligence and metaheuristic algorithms have become increasingly popular in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, engineering design, data mining, image processing, and data-intensive applications. Most algorithms in computational intelligence and optimization are based on swarm intelligence (SI). This special issue focuses on the recent developments of SI-based metaheuristic algorithms and their diverse applications as well as theoretical studies. A balance of theoretical algorithm analysis and applications will be emphasized.
We invite authors to contribute original research articles as well as review articles on recent advances in these active research areas. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Computational intelligence
- Swarm intelligence
- Nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithms
- Ant colony optimization
- Bat algorithm
- Cuckoo search
- Firefly algorithm
- Particle swarm optimization
- Other algorithms such as artificial immune system, harmony search, and artificial been colony algorithms
- Hybridization algorithms
- Multiobjective optimization
- Algorithm analysis
- Telecommunications, energy systems, and smart grids
- Engineering optimization and industrial designs
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/tswj/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/tswj/computer.science/inma/ according to the following timetable:
