Many dermatological conditions are immune based. The autoimmune connective tissue diseases are an important subset of dermatological medical care. Those skin manifestations reflect internal disease and their recognition and management are pivotal in patient care. Much recent discoveries in pathophysiology in connective tissue disease have occurred, especially for lupus erythematosus and dermatomyositis, but also in other conditions such as vasculitis.

We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that provide further insight into autoimmune connective tissue disease. This is addressed to dermatologists, rheumatologists, internal medicine specialists, or anyone who may have a special interest in cutaneous manifestations of autoimmune connective tissue disease. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Lupus erythematosus
• Dermatomyositis
• Systemic sclerosis (scleroderma and related disorders)
• Morphea
• Still’s disease
• Relapsing polychondritis
• Sjogren’s syndrome
• Mixed connective tissue disease
• Rheumatoid arthritis and skin manifestations
• Cutaneous vasculitis
• Raynaud’s phenomenon
• Conditions associated with autoimmune connective tissue disease (neutrophilic dermatosis, urticaria, angioedema, etc.)
