Dynamic Analysis and Vibration Control of Mechanical Structures Coupled with Rotational Systems 2023

This issue is now closed for submissions.

Description

There are many shock and vibration problems in the design and analysis of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems, which presents significant new challenges for the promotion and application of these structures.

It is evident that shock and vibration are detrimental to the normal operation of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems, reducing efficiency and degrading the safety and reliability of the structures. Moreover, vibration-induced noise is a common source of environmental nuisance, which causes discomfort to people and can cause damage to the structure. Shock and vibration signals can provide ample information on the work state of the structure, aiding the diagnosis of any potential faults, and modal analysis is essential for controlling noise and vibration and enhancing safety and stability. However, noise and vibration in mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems and its control still represent a serious challenge to researchers, engineers, and constructors.

This Special Issue is dedicated to the most recent advances in research into shock and vibration in mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems and its control. We invite scientists and investigators to contribute original research and review articles, addressing the main issues facing the field.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Dynamic analysis and vibration control of wind turbines
  • Feedback control, active/semi-active control, and adaptive control of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems
  • Dynamic analysis of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems
  • Structural vibration and modal analysis of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems
  • Shock absorbers and suspension dynamics
  • Vibration and fault diagnosis in wind turbine systems
  • Noise and acoustic comfort of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems
  • Impact of shock and vibration on the environment
  • Catastrophe analysis and safety analysis of mechanical structures coupled with rotational systems
