Selected Papers from the International Conference on Biopesticides 6 (ICOB6)
Description
The ICOB6 over the years has continued to provide an effective and leading edge forum for researchers, practitioners, and administrators from across the world to present their latest relevant fundamental and applied research findings. This world renowned conference encourages and promotes research and discussion on the discovery, evaluation, and proper use of biopesticides and related agents for pest and disease control around the world. In the broad sense, biopesticides include but are not limited to biorational agents, plant-based products, natural products, microbial control agents, antagonistic bacteria and fungi, biocontrol agents, GM plants, and others. Thus, ICOB6 covers a broad spectrum of topics, themes, and research areas in plant protection and enhancement of public and animal health. Manuscripts in any of the areas listed below are welcome for publication in Psyche without charges and available to all. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Advances in the development and practical use of biopesticides especially microbial agents for the management of vectors and vector-borne diseases
- Phytochemicals as protectants and repellents against hematophagous arthropods, domestic pests, and other noxious insects
- The development, use and application of semiochemicals for plant pest and vector management
- Biocontrol systems involving entomoparasitic nematodes, entomopathogenic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other agents
- The successful use and problems associated with genetically modified plants and other organisms
- Biopesticides as essential components of pest and disease control programs for a variety of cropping systems, for instance, vegetables, tree fruit crops, field crops
- Research on multiple approaches toward the use of biopesticides and environment-friendly agents in pest management
- Chemistry, toxicology, and mode of action of biopesticides, biorationals, microbial agents, and so forth, their safety, proper use, and disposal
- The role of industry in the development and education, application, and stewardship of biopesticides, biotic control agents, and pathogenic organisms used in pest and disease control
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/psyche/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
