Effect of HHC and HHDC on PMA stimulated intracellular chemiluminescence of human neutrophils. Human isolated neutrophils ( /sample) were stimulated with PMA (0.05 μmol/L) at 37°C in the presence of HHC or HHDC (0.01–100 μmol/L). Intracellular ROS production was measured in the presence of superoxide dismutase and catalase by luminol-enhanced chemiluminescence over 1800 s. The values were calculated as percentage of stimulated (PMA) control, on the basis of integrated values of chemiluminescence over 1800 s. Control value given in RLU × seconds was 5 × 105 ± 0.5 × 104.
