Following Spinal Cord Injury Transected Reticulospinal Tract Axons Develop New Collateral Inputs to Spinal Interneurons in Parallel with Locomotor Recovery
Higher numbers of reticulo-propriospinal contacts are found in dSTAG compared to cSTAG animals. dSTAG rats had significantly more reticulo-propriospinal contacts in the contralateral (contra (a); ), ipsilateral (ipsi (b); ), and bilateral grey matter of the spinal cord ((c); ). Contact numbers were normalized to the total number of traced RtST axons in all cases. Contralateral and ipsilateral are relative to the T10 SCI.
