Iron Reduces M1 Macrophage Polarization in RAW264.7 Macrophages Associated with Inhibition of STAT1

Effects of iron on iNOS expression in M1 macrophage. RAW264.7 macrophage cells were incubated with the stimulus, either FAC, IFN-γ, or no stimulus for 24 h. Cells were harvested and analyzed for iNOS (a) by western blot or fixed and stained with antibodies for iNOS (b). Protein expression is represented as fold-change compared to unstimulated macrophages. In each sample group, cell was stained with the red fluorescent-labeled antibody for the targeted protein and the blue fluorescent-labeled DAPI for nucleus.
