Determination of the noncytotoxic dose of iron. (a) RAW264.7 macrophage cells were incubated with FAC at range from 0 to 400 μg/mL for 24 h. Cell viability was determined by CCK-8 method. The results are expressed as the percentage of viable cells and represent mean ± SD of four samples. (b) Cell death was confirmed by measuring the release of the cytosolic marker LDH. LDH activity in the supernatant was measured as described in methods. and (-test).
