Veronicastrum axillare Alleviates Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Acute Lung Injury via Suppression of Proinflammatory Mediators and Downregulation of the NF-κB Signaling Pathway

V. axillare inhibits LPS-induced phosphorylation of p65 and prevented IκB-α degradation in RAW264.7 macrophages. Cells were pretreated with V. axillare for 1 h before incubation with LPS for 30 min. Levels of phosphorylated p65 and total and phosphorylated IκB-α were determined by western blot analysis. β-Tubulin was used as a loading control.
