Novel Optical Coherence Tomography Parameters as Prognostic Factors for Stage 3 Epiretinal Membranes

(a) Stage 3 ERM was diagnosed based on swept-source optical coherence tomography findings: the central fovea contains continuous ectopic inner foveal layers (EIFLs). (b) At 1 month after surgery, a thick EIFL persists over the outer nuclear layer. (c) At 12 months after surgery, the EIFL persists, although significant thinning has occurred. Visual acuity changed from 0.39 logMAR to 0.1 logMAR at 12 months after ERM surgery.
