Description
For humans in general, it is well known that physical activity improves energy levels, decreases fatigue, and increases quality of life. In breast cancer patients, exercise intervention before, during, and/or after therapy have shown benefits regardless of the measured variables, although the best type of exercise and its duration are unclear. Exercise intervention enhances overall health and wellness, improves mood, reduces fatigue, and increases stamina. Some research suggests that exercise may reduce the chances of a breast cancer recurrence. Moreover, patients having a high level of physical condition might better tolerate the therapy phase in comparison to sedentary patients.
Prescribing exercise has the potential to play a crucial role that goes beyond decreasing fatigue and improving quality of life in breast cancer patients. In fact, some studies conducted on Sprague Dawley rats demonstrated that an exercise intervention may provide beneficial effects on cardiac function and condition for women during therapy and at the post-therapy period.
In this Special Issue, we call for research and review articles on the role of physical activity, fitness level, and exercise intervention for women with breast cancer. Research papers reporting multidisciplinary findings, such as those about the optimal exercise-based-approach that boosts the therapy process for cancer patients at the right time in an efficient and effective way, are especially welcome.

- Evidence-based medicine for exercise intervention/physical activity practices in the case of breast cancer
- Exercise intervention and physical activity practices during and/or before chemotherapy treatment
- Exercise intervention and physical activity challenges in patients with breast cancer
