Pollutants Source Control and Health Effects

Description

Environmental epidemiology is the branch of epidemiology concerned with discovery of the environmental exposures that contribute to or protect against injuries, illnesses, developmental conditions, disabilities, and deaths; identification of public health and health care actions to avoid, prepare for, and effectively manage the risks associated with harmful exposures. Pollutants source control is practice of preventing pollution at its source.

We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that seek to define source control of pollutants and the articles which are related to interaction between environmental pollutants and their effects on health. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Recent developments in source control of pollutants
  • Recent advances in environmental epidemiology
  • Evaluation of mechanisms for action of environmental exposures
  • The influence of environmental pollutants on human health
  • Water pollution and treatment processes
  • Municipal and industrial wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal
  • Air pollution monitoring and control
  • Identification of public health and health care policies and measures for risk management
  • Recent development of standards and other risk management activities

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jeph/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jeph/psch/ according to the following timetable:
