Advances in Methods for Control over Networks
Description
Control over networks is one of the two main research areas in networked control systems, where systems share and exchange information over wire-linked or wireless networks rather than hardwired. With the introduction of communications networks in control systems, researchers from a variety of disciplines have become interested in this exciting and challenging research area due to its wide applications. In the past decade, the research in this area was active and gained significant progress with many successful applications; however, tremendous theoretical and technical challenges still exist.
The main focus of this special issue is on the most recent theoretical developments, results, and applications in the area of methods for control over networks. We invite researchers to contribute original research articles as well as technical review articles that summarize the most recent developments and ideas in the field. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Pemote stabilization over networks
- Distributed control over networks
- Robust/nonlinear control over networks
- Bilateral/multilateral teleoperation over networks
- Cooperative control of networked multiagent systems
- Consensus algorithms for multiagent systems
- Robustness issues to limited network bandwidth, time delays, and packet dropouts
- Applications in robotics, aerospace, and transportation systems
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jcse/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
