Trends and Applications of Cognitive Radio

Description

Cognitive radio technology is celebrating a decade of studies and solutions, with a standard ready to be deployed and many promising applications in all the relevant sectors of radio communications. The question now is: “What is next?”. We investigate the future potential technologies and applications of the cognitive radio paradigm, to understand if and how it can represent a solution to current and future challenges of wireless communications. We invite prospective authors to submit original studies and review articles on edge research, test beds, and applications within the framework of cognitive radios. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cognitive Radio for space communications
  • Cognitive radio for TV white space applications
  • Green cognitive radios
  • Next generation networks resource sharing (LTE/LTE-A, IEEE802.16m)
  • Cognitive clouds computers
  • Radio coexistence for emergency communications
  • Performance evaluation of cognitive radio networks in fading environments
  • Efficient resource managements for sensor networks
  • Military applications of cognitive radio potentials
  • Present cognitive radio standards and trends

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jcnc/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
