Potassium Current Is Not Affected by Long-Term Exposure to Ghrelin or GHRP-6 in Somatotropes GC Cells

Figure 13

The treatment with secretagogues (ghrelin or GHRP-6) does not affect the functional expression of voltage-dependent K+ channels in the cellular line of rat GC somatotropes. The bars in the graph illustrate the regulation of GH liberation by ghrelin (10 nM) or GHRP-6 (100 nM), applied alone or in the presence of a selective blocker of potassium channels (TEA; 30 mM and 4 Ap; 5 mM). Each value represents the mean ± EE of the determinations carried out in triplicate of three independent experiments. The asterisks denote significant differences ( ) compared with the untreated (control) cells.
