Selected Papers from the Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems Design (SBCCI 2011)
Description
SBCCI is an international forum dedicated to Integrated Circuits and Systems Design, Test and CAD, held annually in Brazil, copromoted by SBC, SBMicro, IEEE CAS, ACM SIGDA, and IFIP WG 10.5. The 24th SBCCI will take place at Joao Pessoa, Brazil http://www.lasic.ufpb.br/chip_on_the_cliffs_2011/sbcci.html. The goal of the symposium is to bring together researchers in the areas of computer-aided design, design and test of integrated circuits and systems.
In this edition, the submissions to SBCCI will be made to one of the four tracks, whichever is the most appropriate at the authors' judgment. Track 2.1 is dedicated to Reconfigurable Computing. The scope of this track includes technical sessions, tutorials, and panels, as well as exhibition and working group meetings. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Design, specification, and modeling languages and applications of Reconfigurable Computing
- Reconfigurable architectures and novel applications of FPGAs
- Hardware-software codesign and coverification in Reconfigurable Computing
- Emulation and prototyping techniques in Reconfigurable Computing
Selection of the conference papers for inclusion in the special issue: from the total of 106 papers that were submitted for review to SBCCI 2010, 39 were accepted for oral presentation at the conference, of which 14 papers are part of the Reconfigurable Computing track. Historically, the general best papers presented at the symposium are invited to resubmit an extended version to be considered for publication at the IEEE Design & Test and at the Journal of Integrated Circuits and Systems (JICS ); in this edition, the authors of the top 12-15 papers related to the “Reconfigurable Computing and Systems Design” will be invited to submit an extended version to this Special Issue.
The best-ranked papers in the evaluation of SBCCI 2011 program committee will be invited for a submission to this special issue according to the following criteria:
- Quality and originality of the research
- Scientific value and potential impact
- Comments and impression on the presentation of the results in the conference, ensuring that a diverse range of topics of representative of important and growing research areas of Reconfigurable Computing and FPGAs will be covered
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijrc/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
