Let <mml:math alttext="$f: A \rightarrow B$" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>f</mml:mi><mml:mo>:</mml:mo><mml:mi>A</mml:mi><mml:mo>&#8594;</mml:mo><mml:mi>B</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> be a homomorphism of involutive algebras <mml:math alttext="$A,B$" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>A</mml:mi><mml:mo>,</mml:mo><mml:mi>B</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>. The purpose of this paper is to define a free involutive algebra resolution of algebra <mml:math alttext="$B$" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mi>B</mml:mi></mml:math> over <mml:math alttext="$f$" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mi>f</mml:mi></mml:math> and use it to define and study the relative dihedral homology.
