Excitation (black traces) and emission spectra (of the complexes [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2] Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm, Yb) in the solid state. Excitation spectra have been measured by monitoring the most intense band of the emission spectrum for each ion, and emission spectra have been obtained after excitation within the excited electronic states of bpm (λ exc = 330 nm).
