Ambient Seismic Noise Analysis Associated with the 2010 Eruption of Merapi Volcano Using Temporal Variations of Randomness and Background Noise

Temporal variation of PE [11] and PSD for HOT14 and HOT23 broadband stations that record the 1996 Gjálp volcano eruption (Glynn and Konstantinou, 2016). PSD fluctuations in the low-frequency band and high-frequency band tend to be distinguishable. Decreased PSD in the high-frequency band and an increase in the low-frequency band started occurring eight days before the Mw ~5.6 earthquake or ten days before the onset of the subglacial eruption. The data used has been obtained from the IRIS waveform depository.
