Identifying Subalpine Fir (<i>Abies lasiocarpa</i>) Attacked by  the Balsam Woolly Adelgid (<i>Adelges piceae</i>) Using Spectral Measurements of the Foliage

<table>Values for simple ratio, the percent reflectance in the SWIR and the NDVI for individual trees infested or not infested with balsam woolly adelgid.    Reflectances and band ratios were computed by integrating the narrow band data to the SPOT5-HRVIR band equivalent reflectance.  The three variables were selected using a stepwise discriminant analysis procedure for distinguishing infested from noninfested trees.</table>
