An Investigation of Direct Hydrocarbon (Propane) Fuel Cell Performance Using Mathematical Modeling

The effect of the anode and cathode catalyst layer thickness, (μm), on the polarization curve for a direct propane fuel cell (DPFC) model at 150°C and 1 atm. The values of (μm) for the above three cases were represented by the following symbols: (i) open circles: 400 μm, (ii) solid diamonds: 300 μm (reference case), and (iii) open triangles: 200 μm. All the other parameters were the same as the reference case mentioned in Table 1.
