Impact of Ovariectomy on the Anterior Pituitary Gland in Female Rats

<div>Changes in inhibin subunit expression after OVX. Inhibin <i>α</i> (a), <i>β</i>Α (b), and <i>βΒ</i> (c) and follistatin (d) mRNA expression from the anterior pituitary in sham-operated (control), OVX, and OVX + E2 rats was compared by quantitative RT-PCR analysis. Samples for each experimental group were run in duplicate and normalized to the mRNA levels of GAPDH as a housekeeping gene.
