Impact of Ovariectomy on the Anterior Pituitary Gland in Female Rats

<div>Effect of E2 on gonadotropin subunit gene expression in L<i>β</i>T2 cells. L<i>β</i>T2 cells were stimulated with 10 nM E2 for 24 h after which mRNA was extracted and reverse transcribed. Gonadotropin <i>α</i> (a), LH<i>β</i> (b), and FSH<i>β</i> subunit (c) mRNA levels were measured by quantitative RT-PCR. Samples for each experimental group were run in duplicate and normalized to the mRNA levels of GAPDH as a housekeeping gene.
