Dental implantology is one of the most popular and the most intensively researched subjects of today's dental medicine. Insufficiency of bone quality and quantity, which makes the implant applications in posterior maxilla difficult, is frequently encountered. The main reason for that is the resorption and pneumatization of sinus that occurs following the loss of teeth. For a successful application, a sound clinical and radiological evaluation is necessary. The quantity of the residual alveolus is the main element that defines the procedure's characteristics. The insufficiency in alveolus could be in a level that would make the surgical operation quite difficult. To this end, advanced surgical operations such as sinus floor elevation, grafting, and zygoma implant may be inevitable. These kinds of advanced surgical operations require not only operator's sufficient knowledge but also skills and experience.

We invite authors to present original research articles on the subject as well as the literature reviews. With this, we are aiming to make a comprehensive and practically guiding flow of information to the readers who are doing these sorts of applications in the current subjects of subtleties of clinical and radiologic examinations, sinus floor elevation techniques, graft materials, short implants that are offered as an alternative for sinus floor elevation, and pterygoid and zygoma implants.
