Nano in Implant Dentistry

Description

The proposed aims and scope of the special issue is to provide the reader comprehensive information regarding the current advancements in implantology with a specific direction towards nanolevel modifications. Due to the recent advancements in nanolevel modifications, ossoeintegration, and so forth, soft tissue integration has significantly improved, which has a direct impact on the patients' quality of life. The goal of this special issue is to gather articles of the highest quality in the field and promote citation in future articles regarding implant research in the nano order. The unique point of this issue is that it may attract attention from the basic science field and clinical science field. It is likely that the special issue will provide valuable and comprehensive information, which can be reflected to clinical situations. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Implant surface nanolevel modifications and biologic responses
  • Effect of nano in compromised situations, that is, osteoporosis, irradiated bone, and so forth
  • Latest technology on nanostructure synthesis
  • Clinical performance of nanostructured implant components
  • Reviews on the state-of-the-art topics in the field concerning nanolevel modifications
