Electromagnetics in Biomedical Applications
Description
Advance research in electromagnetics theory has been a fundamental key driver to push the frontiers of biomedical technology. These studies include evaluation of health hazards of microwave field emission by ubiquitous wireless communication systems, interaction of electromagnetic waves with biological tissues and living systems, and also the therapeutic, diagnostic, and imaging applications of electromagnetics. Cancer detection using ultrawideband signal, hyperthermia of tumors, healthcare informatics, and wireless bioimplants are some of the research topics using electromagnetic waves.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review materials that will stimulate the efforts to exploit electromagnetic waves for various biomedical applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Interaction of electromagnetic fields with biological tissues and living systems
- Biological effects of electromagnetics in biomedical applications
- Biological effects of electromagnetics in wireless communication and radar techniques
- Electromagnetics in biomedical instrumentation
- Microwave imaging and signal processing for biomedical applications
- Therapeutic and diagnostic applications of electromagnetics
- Medical device communication through electromagnetics
- Safety assessment and regulatory issues of biomedical applications
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijap/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/author/submit/journals/ijap/elec/ according to the following timetable:
