Quantitative immunoblotting (IB) of respiratory supercomplexes (RSC) isolated by digitonin extraction of crude mitochondrial fractions. Mitochondrial RSC were separated by blue-native gel electrophoresis as described in Methods. Proteins were then transferred to nylon membranes and immunoblotted for complex I (shown in top figure); complex III IB is shown in bottom figure.
