Table 2 indicates comparison of age, sex, educational years, etiology, Child-Pugh grading, Child-Pugh scores, ammonia, Cr, TBil, ALB, PT, NCT-A, and DST among groups 1, 2, 3, and 4 before treatment. Group 1 is healthy controls group, group 2 is cirrhosis without HE group, group 3 is cirrhosis with MHE group, and group 4 is cirrhosis with OHE group. Continuous data were compared using ANOVA and categorical data were compared by a chi-square test. means significant differences in an index among groups.
