Green Tea Leaves and Rosemary Extracts Selectively Induce Cell Death in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Cells and Cancer Stem Cells and Enhance the Efficacy of Common Chemotherapeutics

Synthite tea and rosemary extracts are both selective for breast cancer cells. NCM-460 cells were treated with varying concentrations of (a) STE and (b) RE (0.01 mg/mL–0.25 mg/mL) for 48 hours. Results were obtained by using image-based cytometry to assess the percentage of cells positive with fluorescence associated with Annexin V (green), PI (red), and both (yellow) or negative for both Annexin V and Pi (blue).
