Effects on melanoma cell viability and colony formation by AC. (a) B16F10 and B16F1 cells were treated with or without AC (40, 80, 120, or 160 μg/mL) for 24 and 48 h. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. (b) B16F10 and B16F1 cells were treated without or with AC (10, 20, 30, or 40 μg/mL) for 24 h and assayed for their ability to proliferate and form colonies in soft agar for 5 days. Plating, colonogenic cell survival and scoring are described in the Materials and Methods Section. The results are presented as the mean ± S.D of three independent assays. *Significant difference in the control versus sample group ( ).
