Measured values in the experimental setup are indicated by ellipsoids, modified from the literature values. (b) Photo of the hybrid adult mock circulation (HAMC). The preload and afterload pressure compartments with the attached voice coil actuators can be seen as well as the three gear pumps providing the flow balance in the system.
