Deliberative Self-Organizing Traffic Lights with Elementary Cellular Automata
In the case of the self-organizing method, if a closed-loop system (CCTV) is used, a camera for each street where vehicles enter the intersection to detect approaching vehicles is required and a camera for every street is required where vehicles exit the intersection to detect vehicle dropout. From the images acquired, an algorithm recognizes vehicles approaching and leaving the intersection.
