Contrast Media & Molecular Imaging

About this Journal

Aims and scope

An exciting journal in the area of contrast agents and molecular imaging, covering all areas of imaging technologies with a special emphasis on MRI and PET.

Contrast Media & Molecular Imaging (CMMI) provides an international forum for the expeditious publication of research articles and reviews in the booming areas of contrast media and molecular imaging. CMMI is aimed at the academic, medical, and industrial communities, and at the developers and users of these emerging and rapidly developing technologies in the areas of MRI and MRS, but also embracing all other in vivo imaging technologies such as PET, photon-counting CT, spectral photon-counting CT, and ultrasound contrast agents.

Molecular imaging articles will concentrate on the potential role played by MRI and PET contrast agents at visualizing, at the molecular or cellular level, the physiology and physio-pathological processes from animal models to humans.

CMMI articles will cover innovative work on all aspects of this field, such as the development of more specific or sensitive agents, agents directed toward new targets, comparison of MRI with other imaging modalities, and prompting of multi-modality approaches.

CMMI will devote particular attention to the following fields: synthesis, characterization, and biological applications of new contrast agents, search for new vectors and ligands, coupling strategies, and in vitro as well in vivo evaluation of new methodologies and applications.
