Potential Applications of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT in the Evaluation of Salivary Gland Uptake Function: Preliminary Observations and Comparison with 99mTcO4 Salivary Gland Scintigraphy

Figure 4

A 43-year-old female (patient 14) with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT MIP (a) shows that the imaging agents were evenly and symmetrically distributed in bilateral lacrimal glands and major salivary glands (right parotid gland, left parotid gland, right submandibular gland, and left submandibular gland; SUVmax values of 8.1, 8.0, 10.2, and, 8.2, respectively). No obvious abnormalities were observed. However, SGS (b) shows a mild-to-moderate decrease in the uptake function of the left parotid (right parotid gland, left parotid gland, right submandibular gland, and left submandibular gland; UR values of 3.1, 2.2, 3.4, and 2.8, respectively).
