Protein Drugs Related to Allergic Reaction

Description

Allergic reactions are sensitive to substances called allergens that come into contact with the skin, nose, eyes, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract. Many allergic reactions are mild, while others can be severe and life-threatening. Protein drugs related to allergic reaction include two categories: protein drugs are used to treat or prevent allergic reaction. Compared to other small molecule drugs, pharmaceutical peptides and proteins offer low toxicity and high specificity and demonstrate fewer toxicology issues; protein drugs which are used to treat other diseases have the adverse effect causing serious allergic reaction.

The specific topic “protein drugs that target the immune system” includes four fields: 1. the development of pharmaceutical proteins, including synthesis, purification, pharmacologically active, pharmacological mechanisms; 2. in vivo process of pharmaceutical proteins, including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion; 3. the clinical application of pharmaceutical proteins, including the effectiveness and adverse reactions; and 4. the allergic reaction caused by pharmaceutical proteins. The submitted manuscripts should be limited to protein drugs of antibodies, cytokines, and vaccines.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand those protein drugs related to allergic reaction.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Synthesis and purification of pharmaceutical proteins that treat allergic reaction
  • Pharmacological and toxicological effects of pharmaceutical proteins that treat allergic reaction
  • Clinical study of pharmaceutical proteins that treat allergic reaction
  • The allergic reaction caused by pharmaceutical peptides and protein
