Advanced Hybrid Polymer Materials for Remediation of Environmental Pollution in Coagulation-Flocculation Processes

This issue is now closed for submissions.

Description

Environmental pollution has become the focus of social concern, as a consequence of the increasingly serious problem of globalization. Because of their unique performance, polymer materials have been widely applied as a solution to related problems over the past decades; however how to use polymer materials more effectively and safely has always been a topic of discussion. In the field of environmental pollution remediation, the application of new materials has produced a large amount of valuable research, including new methods of preparation of polymer materials, new characterization technologies, and new application modes. Hybrid materials have been receiving increased attentions in recent years due to their unique properties and superior performance compared to that of conventional inorganic coagulants and organic polymeric flocculants.

This special issue aims to discuss various scientific aspects of hybrid polymer materials that are used in coagulation-flocculation processes. We invite authors to contribute original research articles as well as review articles to this issue.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Inorganic-inorganic hybrid materials for water purification and sludge treatment
  • Inorganic-organic hybrid materials for water purification and sludge treatment
  • Inorganic-natural polymer hybrid materials for water purification and sludge treatment
  • Inorganic-biopolymer hybrid materials for water purification and sludge treatment
  • Organic-organic hybrid materials for water purification and sludge treatment
  • Organic-natural polymer hybrid materials for water purification and sludge treatment
