Design, Synthesis, and Applications of Field-Sensitive Polymers
Description
Field-sensitive polymers will switch their shapes and/or functions with different physical stimuli, including light, electricity, magnetism, and ultrasound. These external fields can usually be applied remotely, allowing for efficient and effective spatiotemporal control. With advanced properties, field-sensitive polymers have great potential for utilization in nanotechnology and biomedical applications, among others. Novel structure design, efficient synthetic routes, and new applications are required for the development of field-responsive polymers.
This special issue focuses on the recent progress in polymer design, synthesis, and applications of photo-, electro-, magnetic-, and ultrasound-sensitive polymers. The submissions of original research papers and review articles are welcome in the related scopes.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
- Photoresponsive polymers
- Electroresponsive polymers
- Magnetic-responsive polymers
- Ultrasound-responsive polymers
