Dynamical Processes and Systems of Fractional Order
Description
Dynamical processes and systems of fractional order attract researchers from many areas of sciences and technologies, ranging from mathematics and physics to computer science. The focus of this special issue is on the theory and computations of dynamical processes and systems of fractional order towards the applications to various issues in science and engineering. It would be an opportunity for extending the research field of fractional calculus, fractional differential/integral equations, cyber-physical systems studied from a view of complex systems, autoregressive fractionally integrated moving average (FARIMA) models, 1/f noise, wavelets, and nonlinear processing of signals and images, in all aspects of theoretical and practical study in mathematics and physics.
We are soliciting original high quality research papers on topics of interest connected with the dynamical processes and systems of fractional order. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- 1/f noise, fractional Brownian motion, fractional Gaussian noise, self-similar processes, long memory processes, heavy-tailed random processes, network traffic, financial processes of fractal type, FARIMA, pulses, and DNA
- Fractional calculus, fractional differential/integral equations (Abel type integral equations, Fredholm type integral equations, fractional Langevin equations, etc.), power-law systems, queuing systems with arrival of heavy-tailed random processes, and fractional order filters
