Mean Topographic Wetness Index (TWI) values summarized within (5 m) pixel windows for each of four soil classes across the 150 ha study area. Three classes were mapped using a combination of unsupervised and supervised classification methods, and the fourth class (soil class 4) was identified as an ephemerally flooded playa by Monger et al. [22]. Mean values are plotted with error bars representing one standard deviation.
